Day #76 – BIG DAY!!!

Well…. just like the title says, today…. was a VERY big day!!! Not only did I reach a new all time low weight of 226.1 pounds, but… if you remember way back in the day when I set some goals, one of them was to run 3 consecutive sub-10 minute miles or at least 3 miles in less than 30 minutes.

Well my friends…. BOOM!!!!! I DID IT!!!!! 3.14 miles in 30 minutes. That means my 3 mile time was 28 minutes, 45 seconds at a pace of 7.1 miles per hour. Now THAT. FEELS. AMAZING. 🙂 🙂

Now its time to relax… let my legs rest… and maybe even celebrate a bit!! 🙂 🙂

And of course…. a shot of the new scale to prove it really happened! 😉

Jumpstart The Work Week

What a great way to get the week going… a new record low weight for me. At 230 pounds this morning, I’ve lost 42 pounds total. I’m also only .25 pounds away from my 7 day average weight being under 323 and declaring that first 40 pounds OFFICIALLY gone! 🙂

Today…. is a good day so far!

BOOM! FINALLY!!! 40 Pounds Lost

So… I had been waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting…. and by waiting I mean running, rowing, and exercising my god damn ass off… *literally*

Then finally, this morning I got to where I’d tried to be just over a week ago now. Granted my 7 day average weight isn’t there yet so it’s not “official” yet, but I did have my first weigh-in over the 40 pounds lost mark!!! 231.4 pounds, I’ve lost 40.6 pounds in 62 days… and I love-hated every minute of it!! hahahaha

Gonna keep up the good work today the best that I can and I’m surely gonna keep tryin to drop more pounds. 40 down, 20 more to go!!!

It’s Been A While, But It Still Feels GOOD!

So…. I was a little down that yesterday, Day #60 of my 90 day quest to lose 60 pounds left me one pound behind. Worse, that I had been so close just a few days earlier.

I haven’t actually fully recovered yet and gotten to where I want to be… I will just have to keep pushing for that. The good news, however, is that this morning was the first time almost a week that I hit an all time new low weight. Right back to being SO close to that 40 pounds lost mark.

So yes… a new all time low weigh-in at 232.4 pounds… leaving me just .4 pounds away from that illusive 40 pound mark damn it!! Tonight, I will go home… hit the treadmill, the rowing machine and probably through in some more jumping jacks for good measure. Hopefully to wake up and get where I had tried so had to be 7 days ago!!

Wish me luck!

I’m Running Out Of Words…

Destroy, rock, slam, crush even obliterate…. not sure how many other words I can use to explain how hard I’m pushing my workouts and my diet lately, but what I do know is that it is 100% definitely working. I’ve been really good about my drinking lately, getting on the rowing machine as much as possible and turning in at least 1 under 10 minute mile almost every day… plus some lighter cardio just to keep the calorie burn up.

It hasn’t been easy… 20 – 30 minutes in the morning followed by another 30 minutes to an hour after work, but the huge payoff is morning like today when I wake up and turn in another new all time low weight… this time 232.6 pounds. That puts me .6 pounds way for hitting the 40 pounds lost mark! F’ING. AWESOME.

Now with that good news…. I’m going to hit another 30 minute workout before I head into the office!

Day #53 – Hard To Keep Up The Calories

I’m not exactly sure why this is happening, but I seem to be having the exact opposite problem you’d expect. Instead of it being hard to keep up how much I’m working out, I find that I’m working out more and eating less. The last 7 days I’ve been averaging around 1000 calories a day, which you can see on the stats page. It’s not that I’m trying to stay that low, it’s just that I think I finally shrank my stomach or something and I’m just not that hungry anymore. I don’t know…. maybe I’ll have to do some more research.

The awesome news is, that for the last few days I’ve really been crushing my workouts and its seriously showing. I’ve been loosing an average of 1.2 pounds a day… that’s amazing!! It’s almost as much as I was losing when I first started this 52 days ago. Even more awesome, and as expected, I got another all time low weigh-in this morning: 235.2 pounds! That means I’ve lost almost 37 pounds in 53 days, put my projected weight-loss when I arrive on the 90 days mark at 62.8 pounds… yeah…. I can live with that! 😉

As for my workouts today… still going as usual. I have noticed that my rowing doesn’t seem to count that high on my bodymedia fit, but everything I’ve read and the calories meter on the rowing machine itself shows that it’s an AWESOME workout!

As you can see from above… I am doing about an hours worth of cardio a day… just splitting it up a little and doing some in the morning and the rest when I get home from work. It seems to be working so far… so I’m gonna keep it going!

Day #50 – I’ve Purchased A New Weapon

So you’ll see a new stat in my workout description… yes, I went out and bought a rowing machine today and proceeded to give it a solid 30 minute run (in 10 minute sessions) this evening, but I’ll post more on that later.

The other AWESOME news for today is that woke up to another all time low weight, this time: 238 pounds… I’m getting better at pushing my workouts and burning as many calories as possible, and it surely is paying off!

I also found out that according to Fitocracy, rowing is a MONSTER workout… I’ve been scoring more and more points as my workouts continue, but this time it was pretty ridiculous: 818 points for both of my workouts today combined. This along with another sub-10 minute mile… not my fastest at 9:51, but it’s still down there which is awesome!!

I’ll def be tracking and working on my rowing times. 10 minute sessions def do that the wind out of you a bit, but apparently its an amazing full body workout, I can’t wait to keep it going!

It’s About Time!

Well…. as of now, I’ve officially recovered from my major cheat weekend in NY. After a pretty serious and intense workout yesterday, and the last few days actually…. it’s taken almost a week, but I finally am back on track and hit a new all time low weigh-in this morning. Yet again, I have that amazing feeling of accomplishment… now I just need to make it continue…. today’s weight, 240.0 pounds!! That means, in 49 days, I’ve lost 32 pounds!!

At an average of .65 pounds lost a day, I’m a little behind schedule for my 60 pounds in 90 days… I’ll just have to step it up a bit!

Holy. Shit. 30. Pounds. YES!!!!

I didn’t even see this one coming, it just totally crept up on me. I was so concerned about my workouts and my calories intake, and while I have really been weighing-in every day, I just wasn’t paying that much attention to the number anymore.

That being said, I hit one AWESOME milestone today. As of this morning, I have lost 30 pounds in 40 days!!! That’s actually 5 days ahead of schedule for my 60 pounds in 90 days!

I’ve said for a while I might not be able to keep up this pace for the whole 90 days, and I’m sure the weight-loss will slow down at some point, but I sure won’t complain about getting there earlier than expected! Yet again, my faith in diet and exercise is renewed and this will surely give me the motivation and energy I need to push through the next few weeks. I feel AMAZING right now!

I’m Back Back From Cali Cali

And…. the weigh-in I had been waiting for, home, on my own scale, and… BOOM!!! Another all time low weigh-in, as expected that other scale wasn’t too far off at all. When I left, I was 245.5 and when I came back this morning……. 244 on the nose!! So, with traveling, not having my normal food to eat, having to grab Chipotle and eat out with friends a little, I actually managed to lose 1.5 pounds while I was gone!

So, my secret: portion control, healthy options and continuing to log food. Even when I went to Chipotle it wasn’t bad at all. I found out while I was sitting in the airport, they have every single bit of their nutrition info printed on the back of their menu, and if you go to their online nutrition calculator, it’ll do all the adding for you! It turns out, if you pick and choose your ingredients carefully, you can actually get a pretty reasonable meal out of it. I basically had a burrito bowl, leaving out the 120 calorie cheese or the 190 calorie flour tortilla, and with chicken, a little lettuce, some brown rice and beans you wind up with a FAST, filling, under 500 calorie meal with not a single “bad” thing in it. Def not bad at all!!

Also, when out with other friends… I wound up eating at a bar while having a water, of course, but again it wasn’t hard at all. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, only ate a little piece of the bread and go the fries replaced with a side salad.

Like I said, I’m def getting used to eating this way and while its nice to have a cheat day from time to time, taking the normal options around you and making them a little healthier really isn’t difficult at all! 🙂

I’m thrilled to be home from a work trip and find I’ve actually lost a little weight. Before leaving, I had thought “as long as I don’t gain anything, I’m okay”…. well, mission accomplished! 🙂  🙂
